  • removed The Lure of the Sirine's Call from BG:EE compatibility list - the mod has now native EET support, so should be installed after EET
  • updated OSX version of ffmpeg binary and added "chmod" call before executing external binaries
  • fixed CHARSND.2DA patching (which means you may need to re-add voiceset from the customization menu on new EET installation when using old saves. From now on voicesets in saves should always be correct regardless of installation)
  • fixed RC6 regression in IDS patching (probably not worth re-installing since this problem seems to be harmless)
  • Bloodbark Grove and Underground River accessible during BG2
  • After the fights in the Coalition Camp access to the rest of the world is temporarily blocked
  • Bears uses the same AI in BG1 and BG2
  • removed setting up 'UI Edit Mode' (enabled by default in previous version)
  • corrected ToB transition (items, variables)
  • filtered out more dialogue states/responses regarding Iron Crisis and Bandit raids in BG1 areas when visited during BG2 (please report stuff not filtered out yet)
  • improvements in code that cleans SoD areas from plot related characters
  • Added "Modder's Notes" to 'EET/docs' directory (previously known as Developer's documentation - stripped from junk leaving just tutorials how to mod EET)
  • WeiDU updated to stable v2.40

  • 11 SoD items correctly imported to BG2
  • added 'no backup' mode for some files that are meant to be temporary during installation (previously there was a problem with uninstallation since temp files are deleted)
  • arrays with spell effects and general descriptions are now used during conversion to automatically assign BG2 strings if appropriate
  • BG:EE TLK entries are now patched after TLK files are merged (feature requires WeiDU 239.03+ due to NEXT_STRREF variable usage)
  • changes to util.lua functions moved to M_EET.lua (FPS based message and journal pop-up time, support for both BG:EE and BG2:EE style journal entries, chapter labels)
  • chapter names shows up correctly in Journal
  • characters turned to stone in BD1000 no longer uses DPLAYER3.BCS (vanilla SoD weirdness)
  • Developers Documentation added to docs directory (simplified version focusing only on things that may be useful for those interested in modding EET platform. Not really a documentation per se, more a document with modding hints)
  • Dynaheir, Khalid, Yoshimo recognized dead by Fate Spirit in ToB
  • fixed biography table generation for ARCHER and WILD_MAGE kits
  • fixed bug with spell effects descriptions

  • improved items importation to SoA via K#IMPORT.2DA
  • killed NPCs won't show up in SoD (exceptions for Skie and old NPCs that are not joinable in BG2)
  • Neera spawned in correct coordinates if game was started in SoA
  • new function used during conversion will now automatically add missing 'Protection from Display Specific String' effects based on BG2 TLK entries
  • no backup made upon patching Baldur.lua via 'Finalise EET' component
  • one Aec'letec even if you killed some BG2 Tanar'ri before meeting him
  • optimized patching code (no current/total amount of files patched visual feedback, changes in some antique code) - about 1/4 shorter installation time
  • Pocket Plane ability no longer can be casted successfully inside Pocket Plane
  • shorter travel times between BG1->SoD, SoA->BG1, ToB->SoA (feedback regarding it needed)
  • SoA quests controlled by global script will now remain active during ToB
  • SoD Chapter 9 and 10 textscreens no longer replace ToB ones
  • starting from ToB campaign without playing previous campaigns allows you to summon default BG2:EE NPCs
  • Underground River name correctly presented on worldmap
  • updated EET_functions.tph (STATE_REALLY_DEAD check changed into 'Dead' trigger, WITCH_TRA command used to not overwrite strings used by mods dependent on AUTO_TRA - BG2:EE NPC patches should be re-downloaded since they use this external file)
  • updated 'note for translators' that explains new strings added in 1.0 RC releases. German, French, Spanish translation has been disabled since they haven't been updated yet
  • wav files packed into multiple 150 MB biff files rather than one 700+ MB
  • WeiDU updated to the latest beta (239.03, almost stable version that support patch 2.x features)

  • Fixed MAJOR regression regarding NPC SoA continuity system caused by engine changes in patch 2.x
  • Fixed problem with not working NPC Override scripts after SoD->SoA transition (damn DisableAI command, wasted too much time before finding the obvious cause)
  • Fixed random tables item quirks (mod now uses old 2da files and the same names as BGT)
  • Added new function that can be used by modders to easily patch BG1 random tables dummy item names. Supported platforms: BG1, BG:EE, Tutu, BGT, EET
  • Fixed water layers via argent77's code (this time for sure)
  • Day/Night movies no longer shows up in interiors
  • Kicked NPCs won't try to initiate post dialogue after spawned again
  • Fixed regression in EET_modConverter 'Chapter_patcher.tph', also added support for commands written with whitespace between commas
  • Fixed support for 'Story mode' (needs testing)
  • Fixed vanilla BG:EE bug - duplicating Rasaad GAM entries
  • Fixed problem with spawning Rasaad too early in Trademeet
  • Changed vanilla code that for whatever reason sets Aerie's BeenInParty flag even if she wasn't in party at all
  • Implemented auto biography GUI feature depending on the chosen campaign (workaround for the vanilla system that doesn't work when engine_mode = 1)
  • SoD GUI now supports High Level Abilities selection
  • added scrollbar to SoD GUI kits selection menu
  • Removed SCRL1V importation - Dimension Door scroll no longer exists in vanilla BG:EE. EET now copies version of this file from patch 1.3 to Override in case some mods still use it
  • Updated 'EET_functions.tph' - also included in updated BG2:EE NPC compatibility patches (no other changes)
  • Resolved compatibility problem with mods that use Player initiated dialogues system
  • Resolved compatibility issue with Margarita NPC - please re-install setup-EET_end finalise component if you have it installed
  • All vanilla BG1 and BG2 areas added to console menu (if there is a reference for BG:EE and BG2:EE areas than let me know)
  • Added XP adjustment after spawning NPC in ToB
  • Thieves Guild time limit disabled when you return to old areas
  • EET no longer uses HANDLE_CHARSETS - all TRA files have been converted to UTF-8 without boom to solve the issue with M_EET.LUA file (if the game crashed on you with non-English language than this will fix it).

  • fixed glitched water overlays (by argent77). Please let us know if you find more areas with this issue
  • fixed NPC continuity (in old versions there may be problems with disabling old NPCs when you come back to area that has NPC which never joined the party - problem caused by NPCLEVEL.2DA variants)
  • fixed incorrect strref used for chapter 20 in GUI Journal screen
  • fixed RC3 regression regarding BG1 Player1 starting weapon
  • class text 2da rows normalized during final patching to always use 10 columns
  • worldmap is now generated using BP-BGT Worldmap code (which fixes problem with "Destination Unreachable" string shown on unvisited worldmap areas with blank TLK entries)
  • altered strings related to worldmap (Destination Unreachable -> Unreachable; Traveling Hours -> Hours)
  • reputation correction during SoD -> SoA transition
  • restored SoD extended ending (for some reason Beamdog cut out playable part of the final scene)
