Backups and Transfering data to different storage

Eagle Factions provides a mechanism for backuping your factions related data.

It is also possible to transfer your data to different storage type. Do do this, simply backup your data and restore it in the new storage.

Backups

Backups are simply zip files that contains factions related data and they can be restored at any time.

They are located inside your_server_directory/config/eaglefactions/backups.

Creating a backup

To create a backup simply use /f createbackup from within the game or server's console.

The backup with current date and time will be shortly created inside backups directory.

Restoring a backup

To restore/load a backup simply use /f restorebackup <filename> from within the game or server's console.

Backup name can be achieved either by pressing TAB or by looking up the file name manually by going to backups folder.

Transfering data to different storage

To transfer your factions data to different storage, start with creating a backup.

Then, shutdown your server and switch storage type to the desired one inside Settings.conf configuration file.

Start the server and load the previously created backup file.
