DaySim
The core of Soundcast is person-level travel behaviors managed by a set of models collectively part of the Daysim program. Daysim is a common, open-source platform used by other regions throughout the world, though PSRC maintains a set of locally-calibrated coefficients and location-specific models. Daysim runs within Soundcast as a compiled executable program that accepts inputs and produced a standard set of outputs - primarily a set of daily trips and tours for each (simulated) person in the region.
A more detailed user's guide can be accessed here, which includes general descriptions and various technical and developer guides.
