Welcome! We're happy that you're interested in helping Census Reporter.
There are a few issues in our GitHub issue tracker which we think are a decent challenge to tackle. Lorena told me there might be interest in Javascript hacking as well as python, so I've got two lists:
- #19 Problems with apostrophes and periods in place names?
- #44 Create sitemap.xml for profile pages, etc.
- #47 XLS downloads report an error on open
- #109 Add links to Narrative Profiles (could also be JS)
#111 Topical help: sort "getting started" ahead of alphabetic sort- #116 Server error which should be 404
- #119 Geodata downloads have extraneous layers
- #56 "Embed this Chart" UI should show a preview
- #91 Strange map flicker on feature hover in Firefox
- #98 don't show big map on small screens for new locate page
