Releases: ymath-io/latexer
v2.0.0
LaTeXer!
This is an application to write all those nasty LaTeX backslashes and delimiters for you, while you focus on the math. It generates all of the LaTeX for you. All you have to do is hit "Copy".
Installation
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
- Download and unzip the *.zip file.
- Drag the resulting application to your applications folder in Finder. (optional, recommended)
- Double click the app like any other app to open it!
Features:
- Components
- Inline Math
- Display Math
- Line Breaks
- Text Blocks
- Delete components easily
- In-app preview
- Keyboard Shortcuts
- Apple Menu
- Export TeX file
- Save as LaTeXer file to import later
- File location memory - remembers the folder where you save files.
Bugs
- "item" is not supported and does not work - you'll probably never use it anyways.
- Code preview sometimes looks "bumpy" - however, copying the code works just fine.
Offline Mode
As long as you open the app at least once when you are online, there will be no difference when you are offline.
Demo
v1.0.0
Release v1.0.0
This release it almost the same as the web version. The only difference is that it runs offline and like an app. In fact, it is an app.
It only works for Mac right now. I don't think I have non-Mac users, but raise an issue if I do!
What should I download?
Download the .dmg file.
Unidentified Developer message
When you try to open the app, you'll get a message what says that it's from an unidentified developer, so you can either move it to trash, or cancel.
- Click Cancel.
- Then, go to Settings > Security & Privacy > General (default page)
At this point Apple admits what they have done, apologizes, and gives you an option to forgive them. (You wish.) Did you know it costs money to not have to make you do this?? - Click Open Anyway
- Click Open
Well phrased instructions will show up on a green screen. Follow them.
Offline Usage
Math preview will not render while offline. Styling is ugly while offline. Live with it. However, all input boxes (including math), and keyboard shortcuts work perfectly while offline.
