This is a draft that adds instructions to use Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles to be used for xemu. Since this is a draft I’m welcome to suggestions or others to edit it. This currently only has windows instructions since I couldn’t find a way on Linux and don’t have a mac to use around on. I am kinda hoping to shorten the instructions but seems like I can’t find a way.

ToDo:

  • Check for any grammar errors that might of been missed
  • See if it works good on site
  • See if there is alternatives for god2iso and velocity

Now you can use `extract-xiso ` or similar program to create a xiso for xemu or you can transfer those files to a Xbox to boot from.

(Special thanks for the how to convert backwards compatible original xbox games from xbox 360 to original xbox tutorial that helped shape this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/originalxbox/comments/f12psc/comment/fh26eiq/)

6. Once the god2iso file was made, you open the new file you just made and extract with velocity.

Refer to existing iso page, and recommend antangelo's xiso tool

Is there a way to refer to it without doing a url?

(Windows Requirements) You will need:
* An unmodded Xbox 360 on version 17349 or later.
* USB Flash Drive formatted to FAT32 with enough storage
* God2iso

You can then use the `game.iso` with xemu.

Do you know if this process also works on newer Xbox consoles?

It does not as it uses a different file structure. The tools only works on original Xbox and 360 files. It would be wonderful if you can dump from a Xbox one. Maybe I can look into to see if there's some trickery, but I don't think it can.
