Succession_v1_18
Note: This guide applies for users of the versions 1.17 and 1.18 only!
A succession is a series of games (profiles) that are meant to be played in a continuous row. For the Dark Souls games known as trilogy run.
This feature will remember the outcome of the previous runs and will show an additional split on the next runs (with the sum of all previous hits and PB).

- Modifying succession split name
For the following example instructions, the steps are based on dummy Dark Souls Trilogy run.
So, the first game will be Dark Souls 1 then we switch after this run to Dark Souls 2 and after that one to Dark Souls 3.
When starting a new run, make sure the succession is reset and disabled.
Note: This is automatically done on every reset, so it should not require manual actions.
Then the actual run takes place and some hits were collected. The application and the counter should like this now:
As Dark Souls 1 is finished, the run will continue with Dark Souls 2. Instead of just selecting the next profile we have to remember the hits and PB of the current Dark Souls 1 run. This is done by pressing the succession button. To prevent hitting the button twice by mistake, a short message appears indicating that the values are saved now and the next profile can be chosen:
Note: At this point don't worry about the totals that are shown above your splits.
This is fine, the values stored within the succession are now added to the current run. As the Dark Souls 1 run is still selected, the totals are wrong until the profile will be switched in the next step!
After confirmation the next profile (in this case Dark Souls 2) can be selected:
Now, after the profile has changed, the totals will show all the hits and PB from the previous (Dark Souls 1) run:
You should also notice that the final counter will show an additional split at the beginning (first split) that is not part of the profile:
This split shows the data from all the previous runs combined (in this examples the values from Dark Souls 1). This allows the viewers to see, how many hits have been taken and what is the PB up to this point including all the previous games.
Let's say during the Dark Souls 2 run a further hit was collected. After pressing the succession button, confirming the message and switching the profile to Dark Souls 3 the application should look like this:
Like the shown totals in the application the succession split will now show the values up to this point of the run, means including the 5 hits from Dark Soul 1 and one further hit from Dark Souls 2:
When the final game is completed the totals show the sum of all previous runs and the current run.
In case you finished Dark Souls 1 and continue with the Dark Souls 2 profile but this profile is not already reset, you can reset the profile without resetting the succession: Simply press the reset button and the application will ask whether the succession shall also be reset.Note: Do not click on the succession as you don't want to continue and alter the totals.
Note: Be careful using the reset hot key as this resets the current run AND the succession!
The split name can be changed in the application settings of the succession.
Just type in the name of your choice, e.g. "Previous", "Last games" or change the values every time on demand. For example, after Dark Souls 1 is finished, call it "DS1" and after Dark Souls 2 is also finished, call it "DS1+2".
Note: My intention is that you can play the games in any order at any time.
Means, there is no rule that every time when the Dark Souls 2 profile is selected, the split name is permanently saved and called "Dark Souls 1" or "DS1" as most runners play in a different order most of the time. So when you plan to play Dark Souls 3 as the first game and then continue with the Dark Souls 2 profile, it would be wrong when the split name automatically changes to "Dark Souls 1".
