Any update on this one? I could really use this feature myself. A site I'm checking uses some rarely used protocols.

For now, I just went in and edited the defaults:

.nvm/versions/node/v14.5.0/lib/node_modules/broken-link-checker/lib/internal/defaultOptions.js

Not sure how to design the CLI for it. It has a default value already, so should new values simply append to it? If so, one cannot override the default. Another approach is to overwrite the entire value, requiring the user to repeat the defaults.
