Digital Photodiode with wired and wireless interfaces

Overview

Enclosure: SM1 thread 25mm tube

Two-board design

  1. sensor board:
  • Photodiode, SFH 2201 / BPW34
  • photocurrent: 10 µA to 10 mA
  • TIA based on a fast opamp, BW of tens of kHz, gain selectable in decades
  • gain controlled via a rotary switch available from outside
  • log amplifier version based on ADL5304ACPZ
  • coaxial connector
  • supply connector
  1. digital board
  • USB-C (console, supply)
  • Ethernet (MQTT, passive PoE,over USB-C)
  • STM32 CPU
  1. Optional adapter board
  • Ethernet + PoE
  • USB console + supply
