- Projected mid-year population for year 2020 as provided in the Report of the Technical Group on Population Projections (July, 2020), National Commission on Population, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on the basis of Census 2011 has been used for calculation of Death Rate in States/UTs.
- Population figures on the basis of Census 2011 have been used for calculation of Death Rate in Mega Cities for the year 2020 as projected mid-year population figures for 2020 are not available.
