Nice initiative but I hope you never force it on us. I always want to be able to see the stared content of the people I follow in chronological order by default. I can see myself venture to an alternative feed if I feel adventurous but this is the exception rather than the norm. I am very appreciative of the work you do at Github. And I'm hopeful that I do not come off as too pessimistic. This feedback is only because I have seen many great products get silently ruined by greedy timeline algorithms. Trust the user! |

I don't like it at all, sorry.
I think this whole feature would be better called "Discover" or "Explore" and be placed in a tab that I can check at my discretion instead of it being part of my daily workflow. |

I do not understand, why github tries to become some kind of social media platform now. |

Personally, as a GitHub Organizations user, I would much prefer this whole are be replaced by dashboards and links that make me more productive. For example, I use GitHub Projects constantly, but it takes so many clicks to get there. Perhaps let me Organize/flag repos from my Organization/Team to include links and analysis for. Really, I don't want to see anything from my personal account by default if I also have an Organization account. |

there is zero chance that this was green-lit by anyone who actually uses Github for work or anything meaningful. shame on the engineers who went along with implementing it and rolling it out. what an absolute, unmitigated clusterfuck. there was massive, volcanic backlash the first time; yet nothing was learned. nothing. it's astounding how it was then forced down everyone's throat with no alternative. "tone-deaf" doesn't begin to describe this; it is actively user-hostile: 🖕 fuck the users 🖕 |

In my opinion, it would be shame for Github to transform itself into yet another social media platform. The "For you" is a step in the wrong direction, and it would be great if a setting were made available to disable this entirely. (And disabling the "Following" screen on the homepage would be nice also). I find these features to be distracting, annoying, and counterproductive. |

Please revert back to the old feed. Or at least give users an option to switch back. The new feed is totally useless. |

Please no Algorithmic cancer. Kill "for you" entirely. Do not want. Also do not want my data used for this automatically. |

I wanna enter github and see my work and do my usual other things either on my personal account or the other, the company one. I don't want to log into github and find that it has turned into a new mutant like social media where people come to post or to just show some random repos of unrelated things from what I do, github is (or was depending on how this goes) the only platform where I could come, and just look at my own things, work where I need to, see what I need to see. The fact that I have to even try to explain how bad this is is already wrong in so many levels, github is not a fancy social media, it's a code versioning platform at its core, plus now also a place for open source communities to collaborate and where teams can develop things together. You don't need to mess with something that is already good, make your servers even better, make your processes and procedures even better, make the service that you provide even better, don't try to reinvent the wheel and change this into some fancy boring and toxic social media |

Folks, please return the option to turn back to the old feed. My major problem is that idk how to check for updates from the people I follow. The new feed is pure noise. |

Stop trying to force the new social media feed. It's useless and you know it. |

I've had to turn off everything because it's irrelevant to me. I now have a completely blank page. I can't find any way to get the useful information back. Please revert this terrible change. |

As my other discussion I opened, there's important information that is gone in the new feed: People who star or fork my repo. This was actually very important to me as I get to know what is my userbase and helps me take decision for my project. Something I would have never known otherwise: Many people who give me stars are C# people, and most of who is forking my repo is mostly advanced C++ people. The new feed don't give me this information. I don't think removing information from the feed was ever a goal of the new feed. |

I liked the old feed more. I personally do not care about new repositories and what other people star/release/whatever. I just want to see updates from the developers that I follow and see new followers and starrers on my repos. |

There should be a way to dismiss a release from remaining in your feed. I've had the exact same feed for like 2 months save for one or two new releases that have popped up in that time. Sometimes the same project is displayed like 4 times with the same release date |
