Wagtail Blog

This is a simple blog site made using Wagtail CMS.

Before setting up the project locally, please make sure you have Python3.6+ installed and running on your machine.

Run Locally

Clone the project and change directory into it

  git clone [email protected]:nickmwangemi/wagtail-blog.git
  cd wagtail-blog

Create virtual environment and activate it

  python3 -m venv .venv
  source .venv/bin/activate

Go to the project directory

  cd wagtail-blog/mysite

Install dependencies

  pip install -r requirements.txt

Create the database

  python manage.py migrate

Create superuser account

  python manage.py createsuperuser

Start the server

  python manage.py runserver

The local development server will be available at https://127.0.0.1:8000 The admin panel will be available at: https://127.0.0.1:8000/admin
