A proof of concept for slightly easier in place editing.
A few of the things this tries to solve:

Let people edit the client experience rather than use a "back end" tool. Basically, rip off medium's in place editing.

Make it easier and more natural for putting images into text. One idea was a simple shortcode that inserts a placeholder.

Try to improve the creation of basic image configurations. For example, if someone wants side-by-side images, they should need to make this in photoshop. The idea of "dividing an image" seemed like a good place to start.
