Blipsqueak

Screenshot

With Blipsqueak, you can set different notification sounds for different types of messages. For example, a short chirp for one word messages or and ascending tone for messages that end with a question mark.

Create profiles to define the types of message that you want to hear about, and pick a sound to play for each one. When a message arrives that matches one of your profiles, the associated sound is played.

Features

  • Works with any app that posts text notifications
  • Choose which apps you want to use it with
  • Works with any sound - add your own mp3, m4a, wav, or ogg files
  • Get specific - match messages based on words, characters, word count, emoji, and even regular expressions
  • Randomize the sounds - add more than one sound to a profile and one will be chosen at random to play each time
  • Delay the sounds - in case you want to hear your app- or contact- specific sounds along with your customized sounds
  • Keep your profiles - backup your profiles and sound files to your external storage for safe keeping, or backup individual profiles and send them to your friends
