The platemotion package is an archive of scientific routines for handling tectonic plate motion. Currently, operations on plate include:
- Calculate the geometrical and physical properties of plates, such as area, centroid, moment of inertia tensor
- Calculate velocities of points given Euler pole parameters
- Estimate the euler pole based on ITRF2014 velocity field

On Windows, the
awk
command needs to be installed in advance. On Linux, macOS and Windows architectures, the binary wheels can be installed using pip by executing one of the following commands:
