Typescript Express Boilerplate

Environment variables

• create a .env file and place all the envs there. for the example look at the .env.example file.

Running the app

• sh ./deplyDev.sh to start the docker container in watch mode
• sh ./deplyProd.sh to start the docker container in production mode

npm commands

• npm run build - compile the typescript files
• npm run start - start the server
• npm run start:dev - start the server with watch mode
• npm run prod - compile the code and start the server as production
• npm run watch:* - alternate way of doing above tasks
• npm run prettier - reformat the code using prettier
