Security Policy

Reporting a Vulnerability

At EasyEncryption, we take security seriously. If you discover any security-related issues or vulnerabilities within the project, please report them to us as soon as possible. We appreciate your efforts in responsibly disclosing the issue.

Please follow these guidelines when reporting security vulnerabilities:

  • DO NOT create public GitHub issues for the vulnerability.
  • You can privately report security vulnerability with details and steps to reproduce it.
  • Allow us sufficient time to address and mitigate the issue before disclosing it publicly.

Expectations

As a contributor to EasyEncryption, please adhere to these expectations to ensure the security of the project:

  • DO follow best practices regarding encryption and decryption.
  • DO regularly update the library to the latest version to benefit from security patches and enhancements.
  • DO NOT introduce known vulnerabilities or weaken encryption standards intentionally.
