About Eugene Web Devs

Meet up with local web developers to network and learn about current technologies. Every last Thursday of the month Except Novemeber and December), we'll host curated presentations focused on all things related to web development.

We're enthusiastic about learning and getting to know each other in Eugene's growing tech scene.

You don't have to bring anything and it is always free and open for everyone regardless of skill levels.

Format

We host presentaions on web technologies. Generally 30-45 min long with slides. These are not workshops unless specified.

Noramlly we get started at 6:30pm and hangout to chat a little after the presentation.

Topics Include:

• Development in all web related areas like web pages, mobile/native applications, and integrations

• Web development languages such as Javascript, Python, Ruby, .NET, PHP, HTML and CSS

• Frameworks like Rails, Django, Express, Laravel, and React

• Projects in popular CMSs like Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal

• Cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure

• Design trends and paradigms such as Bootstrap, Foundation, and Material Design

• Databases of all types SQL and NoSQL: MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Couchbase, and Graphql
