选课Tips(From Lisa's Email)
- Fall quarter begins on September 20. Fall tuition is due on August 21.
- All students can register for up to 10 units on ecampus.
- To overload you need to submit an ADD FORM with the department chair's signature and approval. The instructor does not need to sign the form.
- To enroll in directed research, independent studies and thesis form you need to submit REGISTRATION FORM signed by your professor and department chair.
- If the class you want to enroll in is closed please check if the waitlist is open to add your name. If the class and/or waitlist is closed please check COURSEAVAIL frequently as classes can open again if enrollment changes. Reminder if you are on a waitlist that does not mean you are officially enrolled in the class. The department of the class will contact you with a permission number if you are able to enroll.
- Departments will begin to review the waitlist next week. Please be patient as the waitlist is being reviewed. The deadline to add your name to a wait list is August 27 and you will be notified no later than August 31.
- Please contact your advisor or department chair if you have questions about what classes to enroll in for Fall quarter.
- If you have an F-1 Visa, you can only enroll in 1 online course. All other students can take more than one online course.
- Reminder, Engr 288 (Co-Op Education) is not offered in the summer quarters. The class is only offered in Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. To enroll you must have completed 16 graduate level units (Coen 900 level courses do not count toward the 16 graduate units)

学校保险除非在美国有直系亲属，学生作为dependent被亲属的保险覆盖，才可以向学校申请Waive，其余情况不可以更换或者Waive。详情参考：https://www.scu.edu/cowell/insurance/

关于Google Voice
- Google Voice注册时需要一个额外的号码作为验证，这个号码可以在淘宝上买
- Google Voice注册完成后自动生成一个新号号码，只要能翻墙，这个号码就可以收发短信接打电话
@mementolim: 在国内可以购买美国手机卡么？能够收到美国的电话么？飞机降落之后可以直接使用套餐里的流量么？哪个运营商比较推荐呢？
- 淘宝可以买到，只要在国内能收短信，就可以用买到的号码注册Google Voice。简历上可填写Google Voice的号码
- 美国的号码是可以在运营商之间随意转换的，操作比较简单
- 买手机卡之前最好查一下自己的手机是否兼容对应运营商的网络
