Browser compatibility

Yahoo, the jQuery Team, and Google provide lists of compatible browsers. Since we rely on technologies from these three groups, we should expect that our demo works on the intersection of these browsers. If our demo does not work, it probably indicates a bug in our code, rather than an upstream bug from one of these groups.

Yahoo provides the most detailed table of support. They suggest testing on Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS 10.6, iOS 3 and 4, and Android 2.2+. As for browsers they suggest Firefox 3.6 and 4.x across the board. For WinXP IE 6, 7, and 8. For Windows 7, IE 9. Safari and Chrome for OS X. The native browsers for the mobile devices.

There is a bug in IE8. IE7 and IE9 are untested.
