A simple todo application built with Next.js, React and MongoDB.
Check out the live demo of the application.
In this version, all existing data in the database is visible to everyone. If you wish to delete all the data and start over, simply append the following endpoint to the base URL: api/reset.
There are a couple of things that can be improved in this application:
- Using Mongoose or creating your own models is better than touching the database every time!
- Configuring client error handling and showing a proper toast message to user.
- Consider using translations instead of hard-coding text into the code for better maintainability.
- Deleting categories feature
- responsive improvement in 375px screen
This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app
.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.tsx
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.ts
.
The pages/api
directory is mapped to /api/*
. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
This project uses next/font
to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
