Description

Fixes LookupNameLookupValue field incorrect behavior in the CE and EE

Compatibility

The release was built for and tested with the following Sitecore products in bare condition (no hotfixes, patches or other customizations, unless explicitly specified):

  • Sitecore CMS 8.2 rev. 170407 (Update-3)
  • Sitecore Experience Accelerator for 8.2 1.3 rev. 170412 (Initial Release)

Installation

For the affected Sitecore instances in the solution:

  1. Make a backup of the files mentioned in Contents section that already exist in Website folder.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive to the Website folder, overwrite existing files if any conflicts occur.
  3. Navigate to the /sitecore/system/Field types/List Types/Lookup Name Lookup Value List item in the core DB.
  4. Remove the content:LookupNameLookupValue value from the Control [shared] field.
  5. Add the Sitecore.Support.7094 value to the Assembly [shared] field.
  6. Add the Sitecore.Support.LookupNameLookupValue value to the Class [shared] field.
  7. Save changes.

Uninstallation

  1. Remove the files listed in the Contents section.
  2. Restore the original files from the backup made during installation.
  3. Revert back changes made in 3-7 steps of the installation guide.

  • The patch should be installed only if recommended by Sitecore Support.
