Teamspeak Overlay

The Teamspeak Overlay tool connects to the Teamspeak Client via the ClientQuery plugin and allows a user to see when someone talks, sends a chat, or enters/exits the current channel. The overlay window also allows the user to view or change channel, view what users are in the current channel, or send chat messages themselves.

Note: Teamspeak must be running for this tool to work, and the ClientQuery plugin for Teamspeak must be installed and enabled (this is performed by default).

  • Various Teamspeak events are automatically shown by this window, including the following:

    • Channel Enter/Exit - When a user enters/exits your channel, an enr/exit icon with the user's name is shown
    • Talk Status - When a user begins talking and is in the same channel as you, a speak icon with the user's name is displayed
    • Chat Messages - Chat messages sent to the current channel are displayed at the bottom of the window. The height of the chat section of the Teamspeak Overlay can be adjusted using the seperator in the center of the window. Chat messages shown include both the user's name and the chat's text.
  • Channel List: Clicking the channel name box displays a drop-down view of all channels on the Teamspeak server. Each channel displays the number of clients in that channel. Double-clicking on a channel will switch your Teamspeak Client to that channel.

  • Clients List: Located just to the right of the channel name box, clicking the clients list button will display a popup-list of the clients in the current channel.

  • Chat Entry Box: The chat entry box at the bottom of the Teamspeak Overlay window can be used for sending chat messages to the current channel.

  • Main Menu: Clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the window opens a menu with the following options:

    • Show Channel Box - Shows/Hides the Channel List box and the Clients List box.
    • Show Chat Entry Panel - Shows/Hides the Chat Entry textbox
    • Close - Closes the Teamspeak Overlay window
