Ionic Framework is the open-source mobile app development framework that makes it easy to build top quality native and progressive web apps with web technologies.
Ionic Framework is based on Web Components and comes with many significant performance, usability, and feature improvements over the past versions.
This is a personal fullstack Ionic, Angular, TypeScript, node.js, Ionic Storage project named chatApp. chatApp is an inspiration of Discord and Omegle, where users are able to freely communicate in a "virtual" room via their name + email, with the mimicking ability of sending invites to user via their email. Due to the nature, chatApp wouldn't be authenticated and therefore wouldn't be 100% from spams/bots. Currently, chatApp is only able to be installed and run locally. There are no plans to commercially deploy the project. Also, I'm currently swamped with so many projects, this project might be kept this way for now. However, should it get improved, the first thing would be to have 1-1 chat options between users and user authentication.
- Download the latest node.js.
- Set up your Ionic app's folder structure on your computer.
- Install the Ionic cli on your computer's terminal:
npm install -g @ionic/cli. Note: -g: you're installing Ionic globally on your computer, instead of only at a local folder level. - Run your app via VSCode integrated terminal:
ionic serve -l. Note: If this is your first time running this app, then pressyto install ionic-lab.
