Hosts Helper

Helper for host files. Provides commands to:

• Quickly open your host file
• Validate all IP addresses in a host file by pinging the host

Extension Settings

This extension contributes the following settings:

• hostHelper.path: path to your host file. Defaults to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.

Build Instructions

To build the project from source, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository using git clone https://github.com/NamalD/hosts-helper.git.
2. Navigate to the project directory using cd hosts-helper.
3. Install the dependencies using npm install.
4. Build the project using npm run compile.
5. Run the tests using npm test.
