Connect To Remote Device

This feature is for reading block data from the console memory (RAM), while the game is running. This allows users to view/edit Raids and Outbreaks without the need to backup and restore save files.

Wi-Fi Connection (sys-botbase)

  1. Download the official sys-botbase and copy the atmosphere folder to the root of your SD card.
  2. Reboot your Switch to CFW and go to the internet settings. Take a note of the IP Address of your Nintendo Switch, this should be added to the configuration when setting up the Tera Finder Connection, together with port 6000.

USB Connection (usb-botbase)

  1. Download USB-Botbase from Koi-3088's fork. and copy the atmosphere folder to the root of your SD card, reboot your Switch to CFW and connect your console via a USB cable to your computer.
  2. Download Zadig and open it, click on Options -> List all devices. Select Nintendo Switch, choose libusbK, click Replace/Reinstall. Your driver should now be libusbK instead of WinUSB.
  3. Download and install libusb filters. Open the program, click Install a device filter, select your Nintendo Switch.
  4. On your computer, go to Start > Device Manager, scroll down until you see libusbK Devices, right click your device, select Properties, and make note of your USB port without the leading zeroes. This should be added to the configuration when setting up the Tera Finder Connection.

Tera Finder Connection

  1. Open the Tera Finder Launcher (or PKHeX with Tera Finder as Plugin).
  2. Click on Tools -> Connect to Remote Device (if using the PKHeX Plugin it's under Tools -> Tera Finder Plugin -> Connect to Remote Device).
  3. For Wi-Fi Connections, set your console IP Address and port 6000. For USB connections, only set the Usb Port.
  4. Click Connect and wait.

Notes:

  • It is suggested to connect the program while the game is on the Title Screen. Any raid editings done with the game opened after the initial Title Screen will need a game reboot to be effective. Outbreaks, Game Progress Flags and 7-Star Flags editings won't take any effect if they're not done on the Title Screen.
  • If editings Raid seeds or Outbreaks while on the Title Screen, be sure to have booted and saved the game at least once before in the same day. Not doing so may cause seeds re-roll once button A is pressed.
  • The Poké Portal News Importer doesn't work with the Remote Device Connection. If you want to use that feature, please load local save files.
  • The use of homebrews such as Capture Sight, Edizon, Tesla Overlay, or Cheat Codes and Game Mods may shift your console memory. If you encounter connection problems, please disable all of those.
