Boundaries are always perpendicular to axes in
py-pde
. Thelower
andupper
then refers to the orientation of the axis. For example, in a 3d Cartesian system, thelower
boundary condition along thex
-direction is the yz-plane with the lowest value of thex
-coordinate, while theupper
boundary is the yz-plane with a large value ofx
. I guess it would help to have a schematic drawing in the documentation, but I didn't find the time to include one, yet. If you could make a schematic drawing to explain the situation, I would be happy to include it!
