  • ROM build version (date):20170324
  • Steps to reproduce:
Set the apn to cmnet(China Mobile Network), cannot really close celluar data. Set the apn to cmwap, that is OK.But cmwap is a little useless.

@508279079 I need some more explanation than that:

  • Does the data switch not work?
  • Does it work, but data still showing on notification bar?
  • Does it work and notification bar is correct, but still can access internet?
  • Some other alternative?

I know what he is talking about. I think he is referring to a unofficial tutorial existing on the lenovo forum advocating user to set to a invalid APN (e.g. cmnet / three) in order to "disable" radio for a sim slot.

However, this does not keep the phone from searching for radio stations and thus bring no benefit, at all.

You may close this issue.

The 20170811 version still has this problem, and I know how to reproduce it.
In this situation: Mobile data is on, 4G LTE Mode (Search in Settings) is on, using cmnet APN.
Reproduce: Turn on flight mode, then turn off flight mode. Turn off the mobile data, you will find that you can still go online.
