I have been observing some footage of clear sea water and I noticed that when the water is very transparent, what's underwater also gets more and more blurry as it gets darker with depth. It's actually probably dependent on how much water the light passes through before reaching the observer.
I think it would be an interesting effect if possible to implement, it would also be nice to be able to toggle the effect on or off, configurations where the ocean is very opaque don't need it.
