Question

Hi Guys,

after using the container for some time i get the message:

Status Your DSM cannot be updated because your Virtual DSM license has expired. Contact your system administrator to renew the Virtual DSM license.

is there a possibility to buy a license and to add it to the virtual dsm running on docker ? because the synology way of adding a license is to add it to the host synology on virtual machine manager ;)

or can i reset the status of my vdsm ? i know i can copy the data.qcow2 file, but then i lose all configured users and so on ;(

any help would be great.

I never saw that message before? Or heard about it? Which version of DSM did you get it with it?

In any case, you can supply a valid Virtual DSM serial by setting these variables: #266 (comment) You can use the one from your existing NAS because it includes one VirtualDSM license for free.
