Prebuilt binaries for Linux and probably Mac require cpu with popcnt instructions support because of hyperscan. Klogg tries to detect supported instructions at runtime and avoid using hyperscan on old cpus but it looks like there is no check for popcnt.

The crash was with CpuInstructions | 14
