I was just looking into different irons and ease of the system to control the heat.
does anyone have data on which controls it's heating best?
i've seen a marco reps video on the jbc 245 it seems good but the heating and thermometer lines are double use
is there a smarter one to use?

Please note that Marco Reps uses the JBC 470 with the Unisolder (it is bigger than the 245) in his video.

I am using the t245 for now, but the whole purpose of the unisolder is the ability to switch irons on the go.
The t245 pid seems well calibrated and i've had no issues at all.

The t470 is too big, and since the output current in the unisolder is limited to 6A, you won't be able to take full advantage from your iron

I use the 210/245 at the moment and they both keep the heat within +/-2°C so I'm satisfied for now.

A few point I haven't figured out...
Do all Micro Tweesers work? If I interpret it right, they work... Because all Micro Tweesers use the same Tips right?

And is it correct that the T-210 tips are interchangeable with the Micro Tweesers tips?

@Tig3rch3n there have been some significant updates for both micro tweezers and T210. Make sure you dont miss them in the new repo for the sources:

Jup, just saw the Notification :)
git is cloning the repo to my drive and I'll update my Unisolder in a Second :)

I'm still not sure if ALL Microtweezer work the same

What do you mean by "ALL Microtweezer"? Only PA120A and AM120A are "Microtweezers", and they use C120 tips. The tips are more or less the same es C210, just with proper geometry for tweezers.

Smaller than Microtweezers are Nanotweezers (AN115 and PA115), which use C115 cartridges, the same as NT115 iron uses.

There are profile for irons with C105(discontinued) and C115 cartridges added, and works really well, and in a month or so, there will be a profile for AN115 and PA115 Nanotweezers, and it will work well.

I am just waiting for Nanotweezers to arrive and the profile will be added. A nice person from the forum will send them to me.

Yes you are right :)
My guess is, the 'Microtweezer' are Electricly Identical, only the differents is the Housing.
I didn't noticed that the Smaller ones are called 'Nanotweezer'

  • But with a further Update they should work as well right?
[EDIT] O_o I should read the recent Updates before I write, you done that already, just wow

Again, thanks for your work 👍
