v15 extend custom block view action buttons

I want to add an extra button between the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons, but I can't figure out how to extend it or if it's even possible.

This is the UI action bar I want to extend. Any pointers or ideas on how to proceed would be highly appreciated.

I have been asking around but haven't had any luck. If this is not the right place, please feel free to close the discussion.

This is not supported yet, but it is something we have talked about before.

Could you help me get a better understanding of the use case. This would help me prioritize it and evaluate if we have other ways this could solve the need?

In our use case, we are implementing a commentary feature that allows users to create multiple threads and comments for each component on the page. When the feature is activated, a side panel slides in (similar to the editing interface) displaying the threads and their associated comments.

Currently, we have placed the comment button within the Lit component. However, we would like to move it to the component’s action bar.

I hope it make sense :)
