With stock OS and stock Simple Calendar settings, Simple Calendar will create notifications (sounds, vibration and visual) even if do not disturb is on.
Proposed changes
Warn that with stock settings, simple calendar generates notifications even when do not disturb is on or remove simple calendar from the list.

I believe this is because Simple Calendar uses the alarm notification type by default. This means Simple Calendar may create notifications (i.e. disturb you) at common times when you use do not disturb e.g. during important meetings, cinema, when you are asleep in the middle of the night etc.
I don't think most people will expect or want notifications in these situations. I do not believe Google Calendar or Etar behaves this way.
This issue has been raised a number of times with the author (see below). I think the alarm type is a workaround for the fact that they have not been able to use other notifications types reliably. I think a warning should be made against Simple Calendar on the list or it should be removed from the list.
I appreciate you may disagree and that there aren't many highly used open source calendars. I recommended this app to someone who received simple calendar sound notifications during with a therapy session with one of their clients, which is not ideal and not something they'd experienced with any other apps in the past. The authors have since added the option to change the notification type, but the default is still the alarm type.
