Browsing the issues from syncstorage-rs, and their blog, I don't see any definitive "all clear, time to migrate" message from the team that the new system is ready to replace the old one. Instead there are anecdotes that migrating should "just work" by re-syncing to the new server.
Should syncstorage-rs be added as a separate TC app, to allow users the option to migrate whenever they're comfortable doing so? I'd be glad to give a PR a shot.
Edit: and the only supported DB for syncserver-rs right now is mysql and spanner...
