various installation issues #1
Comments
Hi @teuben, If you have any experience reading Ansible install scripts (or you're willing to dabble) you might have more success with my non-docker efforts here: TraP has a lot of potential but it's currently wanting for some maintainer time :) Depending exactly what you want to do with it (just attempting to try it out on your laptop?) the manual installation instructions may be helpful, I'm also happy to help answer questions if I can - just drop me an email. |
can confirm, is dead. |
delete? no... why? maybe somebody feels the urge to keep it alive at some point. who knows. |
don't delete :-) I have no direct plans, but I had students who were trying to install it,thinking it would be easier than the real machine. |
trying to install this, realizing this was code checked in 3 years ago.... but running into a bunch of issues:
run_trap.sh has a rather odd first line. shouldn't that be "#! /bin/bash". should have never worked.
"git submodule update" runs into a permission problem? I solved this by sticking in the https:// url in the config of git, instead of [email protected]
submodule.banana.url=https://github.com/transientskp/banana
submodule.tkp.url=https://github.com/transientskp/tkp
port numbers 9096 and 8086 are mentioned in the README, where they probably are the same?
i believe when the box was downloaded,there were errors in the end about missing casacore and some others. I fear this method isn't working anymore to run TraP ?
