Thanks for the question, I don't know without looking into it further, but it looks like a very useful library and thanks for pointing it out to me.

Can I ask what you are using the library for? If it's commercial then you or your employer/client could consider looking into funding the feature if it would be sufficiently useful. I've set up a funding option over on issue #58. I'd be happy to discuss further if you like.
