Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Restarting the PostgreSQL database service kills pg_chameleon, and leaves it in an error state

Describe the solution you'd like
Ability to restart PostgreSQL database service, and have pg_chameleon resume replication and return to normal state

I'm using pg_cham 2.0.16, postgresql 12.4, on Linux Centos 8

This specific case is covered on the mysql side, therefore it should be simple to implement the same for PostgreSQL.
I'll have a look asap.

No rush, as it's only a minor inconvenience when rebooting the server a few times a year, or upgrading postgresql. Thank you for the consideration!

Not yet, sorry. I'll try to add it to the next release.
