  • Review the DPG Registry

  • Discuss the types of DPGs present, what would be the ideal audience for the program

Audience:

  • organisations that are migrating to Github/not very active on Github but would like to be/need specific organisational process related assistance (introducing new tools to their teams, using the project board etc)

  • Types of DPGs so far (the nature of work they do doesn't matter as much) :

  1. Have good documentation on github, make use of projects, labels, and prompts
  2. Have only one of the above
  3. Have language suitable for an average user (including non-technical contributors), and explain the process of contributing to their repo
  4. Too text heavy: they have a ReadMe that runs pages long and is not easily digestible.
  5. Only people in the team can understand how to navigate the repo- inconsistent use of labels, no format for issue creation, insufficient information on an issue, is not very active.
