I don't like modal editing and I really like the command palette approach to discovering commands to run (ala FZF).

It would be amazing if there could be a whole bunch of keymappings that feel natural for vscode/sublime/atom users.

I would be open for this given there are enough users willing to maintain such key bindings.

An initial pr would need to contain the new editing style, lets call it atom, and the respective bindings for at least one layer.

Prs can be assigned to me for review
