Image preview in ssh>tmux>yazi works, but tmux>ssh>yazi does not - Any suggestions?

Describe the question

I have the same tmux version with sixel enabled running locally on macOS and on the remote Linux server. If I ssh to the remote machine, start tmux and then yazi, image preview works. However, if I run tmux locally on macOS, then ssh into the remote machine and then run yazi, image preview does not work. I have tried different "tricks", like setting TERM_PROGRAM to tmux on the remote machine or setting an environment variable like GHOSTTY_RESOURCES_DIR to trick yazi into detecting the correct terminal, but nothing helps here.

I am trying to understand if that is something that cannot work or if I am doing s.th. wrong.
