I sometimes log in to my machine to do some work remotely. In those cases I get the following warnings from easyclip.
$ vim
clipboard: error: Error: Can't open display: (null)
clipboard: error: Error: Can't open display: (null)
Press ENTER or type command to continue
I am guessing these exist because my DISPLAY variable is not set, so xclip/xsel and friends won't work. That is fine though, since I am using vim from a console (remotely).
