feature request(s)

  • traverse a folder tree, creating notebooks along the way
  • inside of folders in the tree, create a section inside of the notebook with the name of the folder

  • do you have multiple .enex files in that folder tree?
  • but if there's an enex file for each folder, then why create a section for the foldername as well?

Sorry, your request doesn't make any sense to me.

sorry, i never received a notification about your reply.

yes. i have evernote notebooks (folders), which have sub-notebooks. let's say you're an author. you might have a notebook for each book that you're working on. inside of each of those is a notebook for each character.

inside of onenote, those interior notebooks would be represented by sections.

so, what i've done is:

  • export the subnotebooks from evernote, into folders representing the parent notebook
├── novel 1 (folder)
│ ├── character1.enex
│ └── character2.enex
└── novel 2 (folder)
    ├── charactera.enex
    └── characterb.enex
  • use your tool to import the subnotebooks (e.g. character1.enex), which creates a new notebook in onenote
  • create the parent notebook in onenote (e.g. novel1)
  • create a section in that notebook for the subnotebook (novel1.character 1)
  • move the notes from the imported notebook to the section
  • delete the imported notebook (character1)
