I am currently testing StarUML towards its capabilities to support XMI. I am using the XMI format for importing and exporting UML Statemachines from and into StarUML. The exporting works quite fine, however, I just tested exporting and reimporting the exported model for a simple state machine and it turns out its not really working.
In particular this includes guards defined for the transitions and actions defined for the states.
Please find two screen shot and the respective StarUML project files attached
