Hello! My name is Evan You and I am a full-time independent open source developer. I am the creator and project lead of Vue.js, a frontend JavaScript framework for building web applications, and Vite, a modern web build tool.

Both Vue.js and Vite are MIT licensed open source projects and completely free to use. The tremendous amount of effort needed to maintain the projects and coordinate the community efforts in the two ecosystems is only made sustainable thanks to the generous financial backing of our sponsors and backers.

Sponsoring as a Business

Sponsoring Vue gives you great exposure to over 1.7 million Vue developers around the world through our website and GitHub project READMEs (see tiers for details), whereas sponsoring Vite gives you reach to a cross-framework group of early adopters in one of the most rapidly growing developer communities. In addition, supporting OSS improves the reputation of your brand, which is an important asset for any company that interacts with developers.

If you are using Vue or Vite to build a revenue-generating product, it makes business sense to sponsor their development: it ensures the projects that your product relies on stays healthy and actively maintained.
