I'm a software developer from Sarasota, Florida. I've worked at Sensor Tower, Apple, and now Aircam. Almost all of my side projects are open source, a couple of which have become popular.
My open source projects include:
- A command line chess program that I wrote ~5yrs ago. My most popular repo, I'm hoping to spend some more time there with my "sponsored time", since there's been a steady stream of interest in the project.
- clanki is a command-line spaced repetition flashcard app, Anki-esque.
- newreads is my latest project, is a site to give and receive book recommendations. Check it out at nextgreatbook.com
- Three.js neural network visualizer is a web app that displays a 3d representation of a neural network as it learns to recognize patterns. It's useful for developing a bit of an intuition for how neural networks learn and work.
- Skriva and Kalky are old iOS projects. The former is just a note-taking app, nothing special. The latter is a calculator, with some operations (like
=
, clear, save) handled by swipe gestures, to save on screen space.
I'm working on newreads primarily, since that's where my passion lies currently. I plan on working on my command line chess program, since it's the one with the most interest from the community, some ideas I have there are:
- Online play
- Using an existing AI instead of my naive min-max algorithm, so players can select the ELO they'd like to play against
- A tactics mode to practice
