I'm the lead maintainer and original author of the Books API. I'm based in the UK.

Why is their sponsorship important? How will you use the funds?

Our Azure blob storage costs (to store book covers/thumbnails) is expensive for me to pay to out of my own pocket. We make our covers accessible to all for free. However, to continue working on this, we would need financial assistance.
