Best Electrum Lightning documentation I can find is here on BitcoinTalk. Thought it would be better to incorporate it into the official docs at some point. Apologies on the archive link, the image cache is flakey.

Pre-Requisite: Ensure LN is enabled in the Information dialog under the Wallet menu.
