Component type/ref after ts change in 3.6.1?

I use the FlatList component in rngh:

from the 3.6.1 update/ts rework I've noticed 1. the type of components is no longer exported; and 2. now flatlist has an unknown type for items instead of T:

I wonder how would one create the React.useRef object for a flatlist component, and how to specify item types for a flatlist? bc now the item prop within renderItem shows as unknown. Many thanks in advance!
