Postal looks fantastic, and the approach of interfacing with libetpan directly is the way to go. However I'm saddened to see there's been no activity since 2017 - is this project still supported by its creators? MailCore stopped working recently and I'm saddened to see another great effort has stopped as well.

Hello @guidedways thank you.
I think it's a good think to wrap libetpan from swift even if it's a bit tough to work with. Mailcore was doing the same but in objc and the swift usage was not very idiomatic. I don't know if libetpan is still maintained though.

As for the development, actually it's been a long time that I am no more part of the snips company and my friend and co-developer on this lib left the company too a few years ago. The company does not exist anymore because it was bought by sonos.
I can't act on the project to give it to a new maintainer, can't "archive" it and can't even commit to mark that it is no longer maintained... so this project will be left as-is I guess.

I invite anyone wanting to update/maintain it to create a fork :(

Sorry,
J.

Thanks @jeremiegirault for sharing an update with us, much appreciated. I believe all these (good) libraries have effectively gone dead but I see libetpan and MailCore2 got a patch two days ago for M1. We'll do as you say - fork and update.

If you decide to fork & update it, maybe post the link of your fork in this thread.
I think some other people may be interested in it and I'll take a look at your work :-) .

Has anyone gotten this to work with an Apple Silicon machine?
